I believe to stop bikes (especially the fat tire food delivery ebikes) from getting stuck on the narrow escalator.

I believe to stop bikes (especially the fat tire food delivery ebikes) from getting stuck on the narrow escalator.

I believe it’s to stop all delivery bikes entirely. That escalator use to break so often before those were put in. When the renovations happened, they added a bike rail along the side of the stairs, and signage on the steps imploring its usage; which were promptly ignored by the delivery twits. And so the really annoying, yet completely necessary bollards went in.

The best way to stop them would be to actually have enforcement on the Kitchener line! That's how a lot of them get downtown, blocking the trains during rush hour with 4+ ebikes per door
