If there's no timeline and funding attached to the project, it's just cute lines on a map as far as i'm concerned.

Let's not forget, the city played the same game with the Eglinton West LRT extension before the province took that project back into their hands. There was no progress being made, and the city was watering down the project at every turn as the "studies" went on.

Also let's not forget, the city sometimes likes to re-open design work and play games (ie: Bay Street tunnel) even after they have completed initial very preliminary design work.

The Eglinton East LRT already has some funding from the city, it's just fully funded yet. The city has already committed $1.2 billion dollars to the project, and are just hoping the province or the feds pitch in the rest

I think another update on the QQE LRT is coming to Council in next month or so.

This may have been noted before but last fall a letter of intent between Metrolinx, the TTC and the City was published, it lists the details of the restoration of the streetcar tracks on Adelaide (and states that work will start in Q2 2022. Yeah that transit levy on everyone's property tax that was suppose to be for the subway. I don't think the city has decided how to to allocate to this project or it's just going be generalized revenue.

It's great that Adelaide is getting restored from Charlotte to York! Unfortunately it looks like no east to south or straight southbound at Adelaide & York to allow getting down to King. Would be useful when the TIFF diversion needs to happen as eastbound cars will have to run all the way out to Church. I suppose adding curves at King & York could be what is blocking it.

Yes, this has been raised here before and bringing the southbound track on York down a (short) block to King would make sense. King Street is getting new track in 2024 (I think) so the section from Adelaide to King and the necessary special trackwork at that intersection would most sensibly be added then BUT the TTC really ought to take it into account when making the York/Adelaide trackwork as once that is installed I fear there will be little appetite (or $$) to change it.

What I'm more confused about is the fact that Richmond ends at York. How will they get past the diversion for Osgoode Station?

If you look at the document referred to above, page 22+ https://ttc-cdn.azureedge.net/-/med...adc2369&hash=56CCD2A8AEA8D4DF87FF083739A3DA9F it makes no mention of any changes on Richmond and really the only possible one would be a curve west to south on York but not quite sure why one would want that.
