TTC: Major Operational Issues (Various)

I have never ridden it, but how is there a slow zone between Highway 407 and Vaughan? That's practically brand new (ok a few years old now).
There's still a big budget in 2025 for finishing the project. Perhaps there's some warranty repair going on? (complete guess)

A couple seem to be gone.

The were lots of issues at least with the stations themselves. Pioneer village had the ground ripped up for about a year recently and the insides of the stations have a lot of water damage

Not sure if you would call this "Major" but access to Wilson Yard is likely restricted..

A question for the site staff, why are these screenshots so enormous. On my very large desktop monitor this image extends beyond the entire screen.
Is there a way you can default them to shrink to an appropriate size?

I heard something on radio about multiple issues, and supposedly Jamaal Myers mentioning a pair of shoes (feet, not brakes) on the track at Yorkdale?

Shoes are also the name of the devices that ride on the third rail and transfer power from it to the trains.

Which makes some sense if the cause of this is that the third rail has broken.

Dan.. correct me if I am wrong but did this not occur a few years back, I believe on Line 2 at St George?

If I recall, it led to a rather significant fire when things started to arc.

Broken power rail apparently, maybe caused by the cold as it's in the outside section of track.

If the TTC has to use shuttle buses because of repairs or maintenance, then Toronto Transportation Services should ban single-occupant SUVs and give priority to the 40 to 100 people onboard the shuttle buses, along that section of streets.

How exactly would Transportation manage to do this?

The Traffic Agent Program has 30 staff [increasing to 100 during 2025] who are trained at standing in the middle of busy intersections and making traffic do things. 5 of those people could be relocated to high priority intersections to keep buses moving. They're Special Constables but Transportation Services picks their deployment locations.
