TTC: Flexity Streetcars Testing & Delivery (Bombardier)

If any serious work needs to be done to the Witt to facilitate it, it seems like a colossal waste of time and money to panto it unless all costs including labour were crowdfunded. At least the PCCs do a job down on the waterfront for part of the year.

At a time when the suburban wreckers are taking aim at the streetcar network again, the TTC has to be seen to be prioritizing productive assets unless wholly separate funding (private or higher government) is forthcoming.

Both the Witt and the PCCs will need major structural modifications to be able to handle pantographs.

That said, for at least to short-to-medium term, there's no reason why the overhead can't be left in a state that allows for both poles and pans to operate.

You mean 4461 since 4401 still not in service nor has it beeen rebuilt
When it arrives with that trolley pole, we'll celebrate.

TTC better gotten a good deal on those extra poles for all those late delivery. It should be a bonus I say.

4438 is in service on the 510 (h/t FlexityTracker)

You mean 4461 since 4401 still not in service nor has it beeen rebuilt
Why would we celebrate the 61st car? (4459 is the 60th by serial, 4460 the 60th in service in all likelihood)
