121 FRONT-ESPLANADE took the route number over from the 121 NORSEMAN bus. See link.
It was subsequently the number of a bus that ran on Front and The Esplanade so I think we can assume it actually is a resurrection of that route. Quite appropriate on Good Friday.I'm surprised they didn't extend the terminal of that route two blocks north to connect with Kipling Station.
And why pick 514 if 507 and 513 are still free.
My guess would be to keep the '4', so it has some sort of similarity. 504...514
Although, I don't see why they wouldn't just give it a branch letter instead. 504A/B/C/etc.
... The Peter Witt is leading this time!
According to Waterfront Toronto, move ins start in 2 weeks, so we should see the fence down sometime next week at the latest.March 27
Cherry St ROW & Overhead is 100% complete and waiting removal of the fences so testing can take place by May for June service.
Only needs to be every 5-10 minutes at this time. The area is beautiful, nice architecture on the houses. Let's hope the street car goes often enough.
Possibly, but there'll be no where for the car to sit for long, without blocking the 514, unlike on Parliament, where they can wait for the right point to re-enter service, so they'll have to be careful when they do this, or they will re-enter early.Likely the Cherry Street tracks could be used for short turns for the 504 King streetcar, instead of using Broadview, Dundas, and Parliament.
