I guess they were hoping to have a ground breaking a few months ago, and decided to wait and eventually go the virtual route.

Construction underway on 'twisted, iconic' site at York University
Construction is well underway on a 'twisted' building that will be the new home of York University’s School of Continuing Studies.

The building is scheduled to be completed in fall 2021.

The fact that this will have triangular windows on it will actually reduce the wonky effect the frame has on its own…

…and I'm thinking now (while for the sake of the building's users, that will help), that it'll be a missed opportunity to really emphasize the wonderful craziness of this building when it's complete. Instead of wonderfully crazy, it's just gonna look mighty cool.
