I'm pretty sure that's a wood deck, I think Ipe, which seems to take weather in its stride. I was told recently, however, that Ipe, from Brazil, which was being sustainably harvested for a while, is apparently being over-harvested now, so has fallen out of favour for any project looking for LEED points. Can anyone confirm that?

I went out on the 9th, (my bday) and took another look at this roof top patio, with my camera. Heres a few images, and a bit of experimenting:

Took a visit today, I guess they closed off, or at least attempted to close off a part of the patio. The Basketball Hoop Statue was removed recently too, I miss that, was a landmark of sorts of the reno job from the 90's.
