I'd say the Residences of College Park twins are worse that YC Condos. And, surprise, surprise, they're by Candarel too!

True, but that's the early 2000s. They are still generating nasty buildings 20 years later.

I love the eclectic look of this building. After reading dozens of comments on various projects it's quite apparent that you cannot satisfy everyone - sometimes you can't satisfy anyone.

It's not bad if you look at it from an angle in which you can't see the podium and crown. Unfortunately there's only about one angle that those qualifications apply to:

And it looks like the last retail space is being filled with a new dentist. Riveting retail right off of Yonge.

It would help if they put in new sidewalks, it is just such a mess to walk around the building.

They will eventually, typically the city requires a significant sidewalk deposit so if the developer doesn’t put in sidewalks themselves the city will do it using the deposit. The city usually waits a long time to do it though (1-2 years).. so let’s hope Canderel gets around to it.

I saw a commercial for 55c condo - there was a worm’s-eye shot that looked exactly like the first picture above. In fact, before the tag line appeared, I’d been wondering why Canderel was still marketing YC.

There is also detritus all over at the base of the building, and that oversized canopy is still missing glass panels.

There are so many details yet to be completed, unfortunately I look at this thing every day.
