It's just about to top out, I think they're just on the last floor now, filling in the empty space nicely in my neighbourhood, as seen from my balcony, and from the top of Riverdale...

In fact, they have 3 more floors to go before getting into 3 levels of mechanical penthouse! It's going to look a fair bit taller before it's done. We have a front page story up on it here.

I never thought I'd say this, but I actually like some of the towers of St. James Town seen in Hanlansboy's last shots. The two V-shaped slabs are distinctive and interesting. We probably won't build anything like them again. I'd like to see a tower revitalization project somewhere in the city that tries to make the green space around a shabby 1960s apartment tower into a lively public space, for instance with farmers' markets and concerts.

Yes, all the larger units that are 1400+ sq ft are located on the 8th floor. The units located on the 8th floor are all two storey units.

I like most of these X condos, but where I start to feel vomit being induced is when my eyes reach the top of the towers and see those giant, black, mechanical boxes.

Nothing says "I don't care" like giant mechanical boxes jutting out from the top of a tower.

The X towers honestly remind me of the architecture around Don Mills and Overlea. Well, to be fair, the roof lines of the X condos remind me of Overlea and Don Mills:

EDIT: to be clear, I realize the X2 tower is yet to be completed, but I've seen the renderings...
