What's the status of the Worklofts and Flatiron Lofts? The renderings portrayed two very attractive buildings... I'm curious what's going on with them :)

I have merged the two threads now: it will be pretty impossible to separate these side-by-side projects at they rise behind the same hoarding (although Work Lofts is ahead of Flatiron).

Update time! We'll start with a thorough tour through the renderings, and then move on to recent photography at the construction site.

Both buildings, Flatiron closer to the viewer, from the north, and then from above.

So far, the Flatiron is just an excavation site

The Work Lofts, however, is much further along

I'll be very interested in how many units at Work Lofts are actually businesses. They've set it up so that'll be possible, but I'm not certain who would buy a business condo w/o retail frontage -- accountants? Consultants? Film/TV producers (given the area)?

The building on the west side of Carlaw is full of businesses without storefronts.

Taken Sunday.

It's location to the core, I live in the lofts on the south side of the street seen under the CN Tower.

It appears like they have finally started putting up the brick work on the lower levels, and installing the curtain wall on the upper residential floors. It looks really striking. I'd prefer three or four of these over showcase.

I agree -- the black brick and huge, industrial-style windows are making this project look outstanding. Carlaw at Dundas is a bit of a nightmare right now, as they're unloading on the road. Delays are numerous and long. FYI.
