With the ongoing transformation of Wellesley St. are plans in the works to replace the corrugated metal siding above the entrance to Wellesley station? It looks sooo bad. Great opportunity for public art.

I believe that there are vague plans to renovate the structure over Wellesley station, but I haven't seen anything comprehensive in that regard yet.

The station itself actually has a neat modernism to it, the problem is that massive structure that they plonked on top of it.

Wow, didn't realize the current structure was an addition. I'm guessing the addition was done in the late 60s when St James Town was redeveloped? Obviously they needed to expand the station to handle the influx of residents, but they could've chosen a less utilitarian style.

It's not part of the TTC station. It is the parking garage for the apartment building at 15 Dundonald. They even have a private pool, tennis court, and basketball court up on top.
Interesting. So the developer did a deal with the TTC to build over the station (sort of an air right transfer) back in the 70s (judging from the apartment building's look). Quite a progressive move! Too bad about the architecture.

I am swooning at the lack of mid-pane mullions. Fabulous attention to detail. The only downside is that it's making its neighbour to the east look a little clunkier than it did before!
