For the record in that second image there where it shows people jogging through green space towards the retail. There is no green space.
Also in the green space east of the flat iron (also captured in my photos on the previous page, what I and the render artists managed to not include is all the garbage and the tent city along the ravine. But maybe some section 37 funds will go towards picking up garbage. That’d be nice.

Excavation Has Started at Via Bloor

March 2018 Community Update

Excavation of the Via Bloor community is well underway with the recent start of construction on site. Excavation is the process of moving earth, rock or other materials so we may form the foundation of the building as well as the underground parking levels. As part of this process, vertical drilling is almost complete which allows for the installation of the shoring system that will support the earth walls within the excavated site. Large scale removal of soils is set to begin early April and is anticipated to be completed in July of this year.

Hard to see much of the excavation from my bike. I also took some photos of the area. It's an interesting mix of new Canadians, low-income, and upper income residents. There is a strip of older homes on Howard street that has potential (see pano below). The fixed up homes in the area look good. The pedestrian tunnel/bridge over to Rosedale is great.

just a few more from my ride through the area. A work in progress. I hope that the apartment building owners can propose something nice along Howard, and ideally some formal small park could be part of it --
