I'll reiterate my post from the main page here in case anyone wants to comment:
Why does Toronto continue to allow these car centric, single use developments to proceed? smh...It's incredibly backwards in a city, that for the most part, gets urban planning right. These inward facing 'vertical subdivision' developments are a lazy way for the developer not to integrate the new units with their surroundings. This practice needs to come to an end ASAP. All new residential development should DIRECTLY face city streets with no surface parking (thankfully, this development at least gets that right), and should always be mixed-use, at least on the ground level!
Also, this level of density should outright not be allowed not near RAIL mass transit (no, a bus stop isn't enough)
