I dunno, will wait for more info but this looks like a huge downgrade to me, in a place where there's an opportunity for skyline-defining architecture (not to mention loss of the railway being decked over).
Is there zero intention to fill in the space between the Dome and this development, over the existing tracks? I was hoping that would still be a part of this.
Correct. The process of decking over this section of the tracks is incredibly complex - and could take years - similarly with the project to the west.
It looks to be all gone now.

That just sounds like a lot of wasted expenditure...I dunno, will wait for more info but this looks like a huge downgrade to me, in a place where there's an opportunity for skyline-defining architecture (not to mention loss of the railway being decked over).
I took the following screenshot to zoom in on this project:...so from bottom left to top left: Phase 1, Phase 2 and Phase 3. And thus from west to east, three residential towers and one office tower. The current DB as two residential towers and two office towers going in the same direction.
Yeah, I was little confused as to what was going on here at first...but it's obviously clear now Oxford P very much revised this project for the current market climate if it holds out. And for what that's all worth here.
I'm not sure I am sorry to see that deck go. Seems like an expensive feature creep if there was a whole lot money to be thrown around...and the reason why we're getting this "downgrade" is because there isn't a lot money to be thrown around here.I dunno, will wait for more info but this looks like a huge downgrade to me, in a place where there's an opportunity for skyline-defining architecture (not to mention loss of the railway being decked over).
All towers facing south should have the same parapet topping like the office tower does. To create a visual image that would compliment the Roger stadium in front of them. Basically like the old rendering did this one doesn't which looks cheap in the photo up above! Here is a link to that image itself in higher resolution:
I got Pomeranian when I Google-foo'd that. I pretty sure you don't mean a breed of a small poofy dog when you stated that. >.<Those tower elevations are looking very Pontarinian.
Nope, but it's very much a reference to the prolific representation of Hariri Pontarini's architectural firm in Toronto's skyline. This latest mockup certainly shares some similarities to designs from the firm.I got Pomeranian when I Google-foo'd that. I guess it is to be expected. Construction cost is super high with the lack of construction workforce. The process of decking over this section of the tracks is incredibly complex - and could take years - similarly with the project to the west.

What does "regulation and back" mean?I guess it is to be expected. Construction cost is super high with the lack of construction workforce.
And this thing has gone through regulation and back, which prolly ballooned the cost projection.
