So so stupid. Ugh.

So so stupid. Ugh.
It may not be this particular constellation of buildings. (And how often does an early set of renderings get built as drawn anyways?) But if the offices, condos, extra convention space etc make economic sense, something like them will eventually get built. If they didn't make economic sense, no casino was going to help them much. (Note that I didn't list the hotel part of that development here. That could indeed be directly affected by the presence of a casino.)
So so stupid. Ugh.
Hanlansboy:
Rob Ford himself moved to kill the project - and in fact he was the one who cancelled the original meeting which he himself called.

At the end of the day, #TOCouncil agrees with Mayor's Thursday (and today's) statement: no to a new casino in #Toronto.
Hopefully, they'll maintain their current architectural ambitions even without the casino.
This city deserves a sizable portion of the proceeds from the casino if they're going to host it.
Does it deserve a bigger portion than other Ontario casino cities get? That was the issue: Ford was asking for a special deal, one better than existing cities get.
