You'd still have a good view of the elevators looking South on University (the angle it is mocked-up from). The East side of the building would be unblocked.

Fixed the 171 vs 160 Front W thing for you…

…but yes, it does look to me like they have screwed around with the rendering looking south on University to make Union Centre more visible (and of course on the rendering looking south on Simcoe, that's missing 160 Front W too).
