I don't recall seeing this rendering before. In today's Metro News:
That's because we haven't seen any rendering of this tower yet, just a small section of it as a teaser.
Yeah, those balconies look fantastic. When this goes up--when?--it'll fill in that corner of the lot very nicely.
I like the design, although the "twist the rectangular floor plate" approach will have been done already in Toronto a few times (e.g., Exhibit, 12 Degrees).
/mods, if you are looking for a vote, I think we should have a separate thread for this tower... totally different project with a totally different timeframe from phase 1..
I was just about to post that. See it today in the Metro News, looks good.
That tower looks great.
Unfortunately the podium bar along the slip doesn't look so hot.
My thoughts exactly. The tower looks cool at the top, but this is the WATERFRONT. The architecture should be good especially down near where the people are going to be. The podium looks awful.
I agree. I wonder why the tower wasn't taken straight to the ground level...which probably would have looked better.
The overhanging tower creates a porte cochère for the main entrance, which looks great to me. Too many entrances are underplayed, and therefore hard to find. No mistake here.
