Toronto Tower at Pier 27 | 114.9m | 35s | Cityzen | a—A

The hole is setback too far to get any real close shots unless you have access from the surrounding bulding.

Unless they've changed something recently you can see the entire pit from the south side of the site.

Yes, that will be the next phase

Thank you!! I think there is both positive and negatives for that next phase.
The 7 building may be too crowded to appreciate and all of those people facing north at 29QQ and 39QQ will now face buildings.
But I also hope this bring more life in the area with some cafes, restaurants, shops on the ground level.

The photos I shot above where from the street with a mesh fence there with hording around the hole itself. More taken back that they had hording and fencing there than the fencing and railing around the hole.

It's becoming more common these days to see 8 foot hording around a site with only a view from the one truck gate. Even some of the fencing itself is mesh with no space for a camera shoot through.

Was by the construction site yesterday. A lot happening. First of all, there is a crane there now.

I talked to some workers and they told me that there will be another crane soon.

They are removing the last of the dirt. There was a steady stream of dump trucks being loaded with dirt and hauling it away.

Next, the crane that was there was lifting steel rods in the morning that were installed in several holes in the bottom of the site and spent all afternoon delivering concrete to the workers that were filling the holes. There was one huge area that some workers were working in at the bottom. Not sure what this is for.

Nice set of shots!! I believe that lowest excavated area, carved into the shale, is likely to be filled soon with rebar and then concrete, to create a very heavy raft slab that will anchor the building into the ground.

The raft slab will only be that small? I imagined so close to the lake they'd have wanted a much larger raft.

There is a lot going on at the site (at least it seems so to my inexperienced eyes). Here are a couple of pics from this past Friday. I noticed on the first picture that there is an opening that appears to go into the existing garage. Hope you enjoy.

Yup, parking lot is going to be green space:cool:

And, even though I've walked around (and parked in) it, it hadn't really crystallized for me how big that park is going to be until seeing it from that vantage. That's another nice addition to a neighbourhood that will ultimately be very well endowed on the green space front.

The condos facing the courtyard (especially under the box) are going to be mighty dark when this tower goes up. I've seen numerous real estate listings and they already have little natural light.

Very nice. It looks like the majority of the bottom floor’s concrete is poured. When I was by a week ago I saw that some of the structure and concrete for a small section of the second floor was already poured. It feels good to see progress here.
