Can anyone tell me what is going on here and why corners are being cut as the quality just keeps decreasing..

Are corners being cut or only 'rounded"? :->

I'm holding out hope that the contrast between the red/orange terracotta fins and the forest green glass ends up grooving together nicely. I still believe that this complex will ultimately be a sum of its parts with none of the individual buildings ending up amazing but as a group will look pretty neat.

Wow the office tower is really coming along with interiors being worked on

The office portion is looking really solid IMO. Nice glass and the bracing really helped on this one.
