I see room for another six towers in that block! The slab would look awesome redone in some cheerful colours and new glazing. Ironically, it's probably the densest building in the area, yet it's the oldest tower.

There was a flatbed truck parked on Charles Street out front of Rabba's with huge pieces of precast, I am pretty sure for Uptown.

Just a minor update but it's exciting to see precast coming finally.

That flatbed passed me on Bloor Street around 4:30!

And surely enough--

as of today there are three floors on the east facade of Uptown (facing Yonge) above the podium that have precast up. Too early to judge it but I did think it looked nice.

That doesn't look bad at all so far. Nice big window openings anyways.

Hopefully in some of the setbacks we will see more vertically-stressed windows. That would help the art deco thing take flight but it's looking good to me so far.

Someone should snap a shot from Yonge-- lots of precast up on the east facade of The Uptown.

I'd wish that they would have put in some design on the panels vertically between the windows; it would have come out looking even more art deco.
