I don't think rental equipment is a consideration in moving forward on a 9 figure project.
Perhaps but any time these communities are built. Like what we find at Gardiner and Spadina or at Sheppard and Leslie it is basically full steam ahead.

Up until recently there has been a construction crAne bidding war. Too many projects to build with not enough craNes. Perhaps stopping progress is harder than returning your rented drill from Home Depot.

It could also be as this is the same developer that they are looking to get to a certain point at exchange district before losing their storage space right now it serves some more benefits as a storage yard then it would as a pit in a down market

There’s about 70 more weeks before exchange tower is complete. Maybe more. We’re talking early 2026. The market could be vastly different then.

The site has lost 50% of the site along Kanya Dr as well the future Webb Dr extension land. The city is moving ahead with the extension as it in the process of installing traffic lights at Enfield with the sidewalk on the west side been rebuilt for crosswalks on either side of the future road. The site area for the road has been mostly graded.

Sorry drum I’m confused. Was not a Webb drive extension planned with this all along?

Specifically I’m confused by the wording lost 50% of the site. Do they have less land to construct with now?

They have been working daily here so I’m not surprised something. Is happening other than moving dirt around.

The Webb extension been on the books for a few decades that I know of and stand to be corrected on it.

If you look at the site in the past, there was a so call road between the park and the site south of Enfield intersection where Webb was to go ' I have never seen a plan for the road and assume it would be an weir connection and use a small section of the site, but not the case today.

With what I saw, haft of the land on Kanya Dr to the south as well all the land to the west that has been used a a storage area is being use for the new road. What happens to the west of the storage area is unknown including where there store the dirt from the other site.

If Camrost-Felcorp has all the land west of Kanya Dr, the Webb extension will angle toward that so call road until it past the school. The school yard maybe able to see more land for it.

I would not be surprised if the excess land to the south will become part of the park.

Yes I expected the land to the south to become a part of the park just outside Kariya.

The question I have is whether there is enough remaining land for camrost to construct the project that they have proposed.

There is enough land at the corner of Burnhamthorpe for one tower and if they own the land west of storage area where they were placing the dirt from the other site, enough room for 2 more. If the road shift to the south, room for another one.

So does the city in this case just allow them to build extra floors to compensate for the loss of land?

How was this a green field still after all these decades??
Decades of extra land so we built out. Now we ran out of land. We build up. Honestly I don’t understand why torontonians expect anything different. Up ok until very recently downtown Toronto was full of surface parking lots. Ever see what was around sky dome when it was built. Nothing. What about air Canada centre. Nothing. There’s a reason most of torontos condos are all glass. They are all relatively new. Is Mississauga behind. Sure. But I don’t know why anyone would expect it not to be.

This is Mississauga, where a condo tower is followed by a farmhouse, followed by an office tower, followed by a townhouse complex, followed by a rental tower, followed by a strip mall, followed by another condo tower, followed by a cornfield...I think you get my drift. /sigh

At least it keeps things interesting…!

Mississauga is literally one of the least interesting cities imaginable...
I don't usually argue with you on stuff but I will actually say a lot of the towers that are under construction in Mississauga have far more interesting shapes and cladding then most of what's been recently built in the downtown core
