Toronto The Parker | 123.13m | 39s | Fitzrovia | Graziani + Corazza

If they go with a dark enough glass and corresponding spandrel, then this may not end up too offensive.

On a different note, when it's all said and done that Redpath & Broadway intersection with nearby radius is going to be crazy dense. Like paralling close to Hong Kong level density.

Too bad it won't have a tenth the build quality or urban vibrancy of HK.

This whole thing really is awful. The north side, for example? - A coating of cheap, street-deadening, window-wall-spandrel to clad a street-facing, mail room? What the hell is that? There are *so many* lazy moves here. An air of 'eh, whatever, eff it...' pervades this entire project.

In terms of build quality, I'd say it's comparable. The average HK residential highrise is rather non-descript and repetitive. While the Parker does trend towards the low-end of aesthetics, there are still other projects in the area that are better and offer some variety in style.

I do agree that urban vibrancy is a lacking factor in many of the new developments though, especially on the side streets of the Yonge & Eg area. Apart from the retail units in Freed's Redpath twins, and the one unit and office space in Reserve Property's Untitled Toronto, the rest of the immediate projects are fairly devoid of engaging street interaction.
