The reason why I think this tower is not climbing yet? Is because maybe this bottom part of tower's floors has to cure good with the rest of the podium sections. To be become on strong base before it starts to climb. Then look Out! I see this usually happening with many developments with podiums and tower connecting together. As seen in the photos up above!

I don't know anything about construction, but I also have to think that with the lower floors being retail and hotel, they are more complicated. Once they get above the retail portion, the floors might be a bit more cookie cutter.

I was downtown yesterday, seeing this project in person for the first time. Very impressive height for that ground floor space.

Diagonal braces of the first floor were firmly attached to supercolumns. Metal to metal.
How are they going to fasten diagonals now ?
Just hang on some hook ?
