It's gonna be well known for sure. This will stand out and transform the Yorkville skyline unlike anything around it. Also, it will be one of the tallest buildings in the city when complete.

Of the tall towers proposed and going up I imagine the Foster name will result in this one getting a lot more limelight (and being the tallest in the city since the 70s).

I've noticed that most people seem to know what Aura is - a surprisingly large amount of recognition for a condo building. If you said "meet me in front of Aura", most would understand. Sort of similar with One Bloor, I think most people understand which building that is.
Try doing that with "meet me in front of Parade"... good luck.
I imagine it will be similar here, mostly because of the size. Most people seem to understand what the largest buildings in the city are.
That said, a lot of people often don't seem to know what First Canadian Place is I feel like. But if you say "The white BMO Building" everyone gets it..

This is definitely going to be fun to watch given the construction methods seem different than most (all?) other buildings in the city. Really looking forward to seeing how the whole exoskeleton thing comes together!

Is this from top-out, occupancy, or registration? I wouldn't be surprised if SkyTower registers first (simpler interiors and a priority customer for much of their supply chain for interiors).

I think the thing will stand out just by how much it dwarfs One Bloor East.

What will make it stand out isn't height alone - but the regularity of the structural element (i.e. the paired megacolumns and the hangers). Few buildings in the city has that (even the Hub is more muted) - properly lit it may pop even more than CIBC.

It will stand out anywhere due to its height from far away views. Especially views looking south north of Bloor and in the places throughout the GTA where you can see the Yonge St. Corridor from the side.
It definitely will stand out from my office views @St. Clair. Going to be great watching it rise from here.
