There are many different materials you can use to cover solid areas, slab edges, etc., yet we just keep getting more and more window-wall spandrel panels. We need our local architects to present developers with affordable alternatives to the "window-wall-on-every-surface" approach or at the very least learn to use it in a way that is tasteful, because very few firms have a handle on this at the moment.
The new glazing-ratio regulations should be inspiring creativity, or at least the use of other tried-and-true methods for building envelope design. I'm so sick of this stuff. This thing is an absolute eyesore and it's not even completed yet. Can't wait to see how it looks in 20 years!...
