The lack of overhead construction barrier/boarding is unsettling and concerning.
A rough estimate is the distance from the concrete tower forms to the street fence barrier looks to be around 1 to 1.5 metres.
Pedestrian traffic flow along the sidewalk here is steady at times, with people doing their shopping at Dupont or just moving around the neighbourhood in general.
I've sent an email to local councillor Ana Bailao to hopefully get this addressed.
A few other people in our Davenport Village Facebook group have also sent notifications to the Ana Bailao's office, and looks like they've got the builder to respond with setting up the overhead barriers. Albeit skimping out on the extent of where the barrier length ends:
I quite enjoy how close this is to the street and how it appears to shoot straight up out of the ground sans podium. Shame it's going to look like a turd though
