Interesting: Valu Mart is toast; Zimmerman's is now an upscale organic food grocery store; Loblaws is moving here; the market is divided between the South Americans and the yuppie condo kids. So you know what's missing: No Frills or Walmart. Maybe in the next condo coming to the 'hood?

Checking out all the architecture around the world like I do, I noticed that Core Architects, like aA, likes to rip off 8 year old designs from France/Germany etc. Or rather, their clients do. YAWN.

I'm referencing the coloured balcony glass look.
 
A No Frills or a Food Basics would huge if they snagged a downtown location. Groceries downtown are so expensive. I lived beside a longos 2 years a go by Bay and Dundas, and by the 24 hour Metro on Spadina and Bloor. Both were crazy expensive to the Food Basics and No Frills I used to live by in Scarborough.
