super crisp pictures UrbanOptic ! what do you use ?

Don't downplay the iPhone 6s. The camera is fabulous.

as are some other newer smart phones. the only thing that separates them from dslr's is how they perform in low light conditions.

and interchangeable lenses and RAW capabilities and customized depth of field and readable light metering and exposure bracketing and....like 70,000 other features.

More pictures please Urban Optic.
I'm looking at the live cam and the building's getting so tall that it's cut out of the frame.

Btw, thanks for all the pics!

Of course a DSLR is technically superior. The chief advantage of the cell phone is not technical. For most of us, it's that it is likely to be at the right place, in your hand, at the right time.

I am grateful for all the shots on this board, whatever they are taken with.

PS. That also includes, it should go without saying, the technically superb shots of SMT and a number of others. It also includes those maniac rooftoppers.

Some of the early DSLRs were only 6MP, half of what's in an iPhone today. They still produced amazing picture. It's the shooter, not the camera, that matters.
You hit the nail on the head. Megapixels don't matter at all.
We need to get back on topic here though.
