It kind of looks like the aborted 4 Seasons design.
Apparently it was too audacious for a luxury hotel and condo chain, so thank goodness for public housing.

If that is the case from the rendering, it looks like the 35 storeys will sit ontop of a 8 storey podium.

Just to make this thread even more convoluted here is some other info:
The Toronto and East York Community Council received a report yesterday recommending rezoning from the CR zoning on Blocks 32 & 36 (150 & 170 Fort York Blvd) to remove a holding symbol ('H) and permit development of two residential towers, 29s & 41s, with a total of 891 units, including a mix of affordable and market units.
The blocks will include two residential towers 41s (TCHC) and 29s (Context), a mix of 891 affordable and market residential units and a library. The total combined gross floor area for the two blocks will be 72,506 sq. m.
The Block 32 (150 Fort York) site plan application was submitted on Oct 26, 2009 for a 41s residential tower with a 10s podium. The Site Plan is in circulation, however the site is the subject of a Committee of Adjustment application.

MODs ... given the separate nature (TCHC vs Context Dev) of the 2 towers proposed on Blocks 32 & 36 respectively, would it be a good idea to simplify this thread to only Block 32 for TCHC's project, while the other thread can be used for Block 36 (aka Library District Condominiums)

Im glad this is going up at around the same time as parade 2, as we hopefully will hear less whining about lost views from residents, as we did with West one and the TCHC complex next to it.
