Toronto Sustainable Transportation Research Project Survey

Hi, I'm from the University of Liverpool in the UK and I'm doing a research project on sustainable transport in Toronto! I'd really appreciate it if you could answer this short survey: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/M9BFV6D, this will help me and my group gain an insight into the transport system in Toronto before we visit.
Thanks, Sam.

If you have any questions please feel free to direct message me too!

4. What do you use for your main method of transport?

I never know how to answer a question like this as I don't have a "main" mode of transport and use various modes for various tasks and at different times of the year. This always seems like a gap in surveys of people in very urban areas. It's especially difficult when public transport is broken out into separate options and you are forced to choose only one between bus, streetcar and subway. I know there is an 'other' option, but when taking a survey like this that option feels nebulous, and I can't help expect the response will simply be discarded from the rest of the data.

Thanks for the feedback! In looking for generalisations I appreciate we have missed the various ways people get around for different things, I'll note this down.

I would also recommend tweeting the link into the #walkto #biketo #topoli hashtags.

If anyone has any family or friends that have a spare 5 minutes I would appreciate any shares! Thank you to everyone that has completed the survey :)

Hi everyone, unfortunately due to an error on my part the results from the previous survey couldn't be used for not having the relevant ethics forms attached.
https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/JTZBY7N - Here is the link to the new survey, it has been tweaked a little bit but is still short and should only take a few minutes.
If anyone has a spare moment to complete it, I would really appreciate it!
My apologies about the last survey. They were all good responses and very helpful to our project, I'm gutted we can't use them.

By posting it on sites like these I don't know how you will get the selection bias out of your results. Maybe by looking at the location and mode of transit. And then go to Statscan to compare (and weight the results based on these subsections). On this site you will have too many people in Old Toronto and who do not drive.
