Does anyone know what happened on June 18 at 12:30 that caused this massive spray of water from the top floors of this building?

I found the answer: The fire department tests water pressure in this way! It's a good sign that the water pressure will be sufficient to operate sprinklers and fight any possible fire on the highest floor.

That is low emissivity glass, the type of glass is low heat gain glass and has a pretty decent efficiency rating and quality. As far as longevity no clue.

It's not the glass you have to worry about, it's the cruddy window wall frame that it's mounted in that's going to cause the problems.

Window-wall systems are a concern because they are not as robust (and lack the lifespan) as a curtain-wall system. Window-wall systems have many seals/gaskets and components that can fail over time. Curtain-wall systems consist fewer components, and have less joints which can potentially fail.
