Toronto St Regis Toronto Hotel and Residences | 281.93m | 58s | JFC Capital | Zeidler

It's been so long since this was announced that it's hard to process the fact that it's finally getting built.

P.S. on a related note, the PATH connection from Scotia Plaza to Bay-Adelaide Centre (and through to the Eaton Centre Bay store) opened today for the first time. It's very nice, with beautiful stone work and a nice bright atmosphere. The retail is all being finished behind temporary walls so nothing's open yet.

Here's a photo taken from FCP an hour ago using my iPhone:

Awsome! soon to start passing a lot of buildings

EDIT: what really sucks about Adelaide and trump is they're pretty much blocked by the FCP from the view of the CN Tower

WOW!

SOOO cool shot :D:D:D ^^^

The building looks sooo cool!... It looks like it's popping out of the ground!!!

So many words to explain what I am feeling now!

I'm just to lazy :p

VERY good stuff :D

Here's a shot of Bay Adelaide/Trump (Trump will fill in the gap perfectly!)... By Jeery Godwin on Flickr:

Trump Tower Celebrates Mid-Way Milestone for Construction
Floor 11 completed in October 2009; Hotel condominium construction now underway.

Talon International Development Inc. celebrated another high point as October marked the two-year anniversary of construction for Trump International Hotel & Tower Toronto®. Crews are now working on the hotel floors hotel in the $500-million Trump International Hotel & Tower, located at 325 Bay Street.

The construction site of the tower has continued to see a flurry of activity since the gold shovels first broke ground in October 2007. The last two years of construction have produced many significant results, including: the installation of a 170 foot crane, the creation of nine foot deep footings, the completion of the parking garage and the lower mechanical floors.

“As the crews continue to work on the hotel floors, the tower is beginning to take its rightful place in the Toronto skyline,” says Alex Shnaider, Chairman of Talon International Development Inc., the building’s developer. “With two years of solid construction behind us, we are looking forward to future developments, and finally to completion of the tower in 2011.”

Construction is on schedule and floor 11, the first floor of the hotel suites, was completed at the end of October. Moving forward to the spring of 2010, the construction crews will be focused on finishing Floors 12 to 29, which will complete the hotel floors. Upcoming construction milestones will include the completion of the hotel suites, the five executive suites on Floor 29 and the beginning of the residences.

“The two-year anniversary marks many successes for our team of professionals,” says Val Levitan, President and CEO of Talon. “We have persistently worked hard and pride ourselves on creating the ultimate luxury hotel and condominium building in Toronto. It’s an impressive sight to see as this super-structure continues to rise.”

Crews have made significant progress on the tower in the last two years and developments will continue with efficient construction moving forward.

Nice article find! ^^^^

I WANT that Trump penthouse!

*And NO WAY Aura will be completed in 2012... It's more like late 2013...

bit of a typo in the Ritz details : " Two sub-penthouses take up Ritz's 51st floor – 6,000 square feet and $9.6 billion each"

I mean, come on - you'd have to play for the New York Yankees to be able to afford that!

Yeah I saw that too and laughed ... and then I thought about Toronto's Condo market lately and said.... "Hmmmmmm... Possible" LOL

BTW...Thanks for the post Red Mars I'm a floorplan junkie.

:)

Wow.... $1600/sq.ft for the one bedroom plus library. I'm thinking Donald probably thought this thing was going up in NY City, rather than the T-Dot ;)

The prices on these penthouses seem to be all over the map. I wonder what makes the Penthouse in Museum House (unsold) worth DOUBLE the price on a per sq/ft basis of the Penthouse in the Ritz-Carlton (sold). Or for that matter what makes the Penthouse in the Four Seasons 3 X the price of the Penthouse in the Ritz-Carlton on a per sq/ft basis? I wonder if these are just typo's since the writer doesn't seem know the difference between a million and a billion dollars.
