Dial up the ethylene!

In any case, I wonder how they will preserve the artifacts in-situ with the excavation.

The section of the 'porcupine drain" that is being kept was excavated and removed about a year ago and is in storage. It is being re-installed somewhere as building gets built, AFAIK,

So on weekend, this building will host Saturday Farmers’ Market and Sunday Antique Market, but what would be its function (other than courts) on weekdays?

Courts are actually a major activity and it should maybe be seen as a court building with a market. On weekdays there will be a seniors centre on mezzanine (I think) and even the old "shed" was rented out fairly often for events. The City hopes the new space will be more suitable for more events on weekdays.

New signage will include "Please shop for fresh produce after your court appointed visit. Management understands that court-imposed fines and other issues (incarceration etc.) may impact your planned visit to the market. Hope to see you soon".
