TORONTO, Jan. 22, 2019 /CNW/ - Premium shopping destination, Square One announces local merchants and eateries for its best-in-class food concept The Food District, opening within the West Expansion development on April 1, 2019. Thanks for all the photos. Uniqlo looks great. I love that signage. I also find the dark maroon (ironspot?) brick and black mullions & details etc. very attractive. Nice simple form, too. Not bad for a suburban mall.

Anyone here have any info on what’s going on with the closure of the entrance nearest to the old movie theatre?

Entrance 4 is to close Sunday and remain close to July.

Other than rebuilding the entrance to meet a new tenant for that area that was supposed to be announce last year or rebuilding it to meet accessibility standards, no clue what taking place. Walk through there tonight and saw nothing new.

Shelving being install on the lower level for Indigo and may see it opening sooner than later. Will be the end for Chapters when Indigo opens.

Does anyone know what will happen to the Starbucks when Chapters goes? It's practically part of the GO bus terminal.

As far as I know, it will close when Charters close. It will be too costly for Starbucks to maintain the whole building unless someone else picking up the extra cost.

There are 2 plans floating around where either the Chapters building as well the old Sport Chek will be torn down for a new Transit hub that will service miWay, GO and the LRT. The other site is the current Playdium Centre,
since it will close when the Rec Room opens. No idea what will happen for the go cart track if it will remain after the main building is close. The current miWay terminal will close once the new one is built. They better built the new terminal to handle 150,000 riders down the road, not like the old one that was built to only handle 25,000, which sees close to 55,000 today.

Currently the city of Mississauga is doing building renewal.

Exterior "The Rec Room" signage is up. Indigo very close to ready. Shelving was in today. Lot's of activity on main floor. Part of hoarding next to Forever 21 removed and covered with black drape.

Currently now who parking underground parking floor where the former movie theater located now have to make a detour to entrance 5. I went there past weekend that hallway still open but you can't go to the parking floor as the put the fence up that block the elevator and the escalator. Not sure what today.
