Heres a couple more photos from alternative angles, definitely looked like metal of some sort from my standpoint

Yes the cladding is metal the design was changed from glass to metal. There was durability concerns and how the glass will look after time. Also the glass wouldn’t have looked as good as it was made from multiple pieces. I also hear the paint is automotive grade.
Installation will take time do.

I think this looks much better than a bright orange glass (which is what I was expecting) would have. This brings a touch of colour without being garish or tacky. I love it!

I like both however the glass would have been fantastic. The metal is probably much more durable than the glass.

Finally! I would have liked to see more of a glossy look but I can't really complain. Have to see more of the steel panels up.

I'm optimistic on the framing – I think it's going to add some texture and depth to an already well-proportioned podium. As much as I was looking forward to the glass, now that I see photos of the mock-up, I'm on team metal. The glass had a nice gloss and colour to it, but the framing makes it look shoddy somehow. The tapered metal fins feel much more elegant.

Ok this has restored some optimism for sure, looks like the podium will be successful. I prefer the metal over the glass samples.
