I'm seeing somewhat better grade articulation here than aA has given us in some cases.

Notice the green copper top turret to the right of 60 Colborne which occupies the north-east corner of King and Yonge Street (2 King Street East).

Looking at the image below, it's hard to believe that when it was completed in 1915, the 20-storey Royal Bank of Canada head office building at 2 King St. East was the tallest building in Toronto and remained so until 1928 when the Sterling Tower (21 storeys) at 372 Bay Street eclipsed it. The Royal York Hotel became the tallest building in Toronto one year later in 1929, and two years after that, the new 34-storey Bank of Commerce building (Commerce Court North) surpassed it and became the tallest building in the British Empire, a title it held until 1967.

Anyone know what building claims the tallest in the British Empire today? are there some extremely tall buildings in India that claim it?

Hmm, forgot about Malaysia. I thought I remembered India having some huge building going up at some point in Mumbai. Guess not.

India actually has pretty strict rules against excessive height and FAR.

This Wiki will help you: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_...e_British_Empire_and_the_British_Commonwealth

Mumbai alone has 22 towers under construction that are 300 metres tall or greater according to this Wiki: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_tallest_buildings_in_Mumbai#Tallest_under_construction

There are also some extant and planned Australian supertalls: Q1 in Gold Coast; One Queensbridge in Melbourne; and the Orion towers in Brisbane.

And then, IIRC, in HK, ICC is I think nearly 500m and 2 IFC is >400m
