Not looking as nice as the renderings where each letter had it's own sign in it's shape.
Yep. It looks like we've got a case of The Cheapening™

The sign appears to be digital, not backlit.I've tweeted them. It's our only resistance to "the cheapening!"
Yeah, you're right. Here is a pic from a similar perspective to the render:No, the letters in the rendering are much bigger and traverse the entirety of the front, past the tip of the angled walls. The existing letters are only on one side of that wall. If you look close at the render you can see that they’re mounted flat to the wall.
MLSE looks to improve fan experience at Scotiabank Arena both inside and out
CEO Michael Friisdahl says MLSE’s investment is to ensure the arena is both a “gathering place” for fans but also a destination in the city, going han...www.thestar.com
Yes, I just wrote to Michael Friisdahl the President & CEO of MLSE pointing out to him that these stairs are dangerous for the able-bodied and an impossible barrier for the disabled, aged or with prams etc. The situation is made worse by fact that the elevator (which has no signage) is almost always out of order!"The galleria improvements should be completed in the next 12 months, part of a larger plan that will take four to five years."
Happy to hear! Hopefully the PATH connection/stairs on the west side of the arena are a part of this 4-5 year plan. With 30 Bay coming online within 4 years, a rebuild of the Western galleria entrance and direct connection/escalator between Union and the PATH level of the arena is called for.
