Toronto Residences at The Ritz-Carlton, Toronto | 207.86m | 53s | Graywood | Kohn Pedersen Fox

oui! le slant is underway.
unlike the "uninspired" comment, i think this is going to be a very sexy building. it's like judging a potential mate by their ankles. lots more sexiness to come.

It's Rising! It's Rising

It is indeed, I can now see the crane behind the east tower of City Hall. I expected it to be a little closer to RBC from my POV.

Hmm, I don't know, I'm worried about this one. Something about it looks dated to me, a bit like an 80's office tower...

well...there is that guy on his bike, there.

oh... funny storey reminds me:

So here I am taking pictures of the Ritz/RBC streetwall.. and there are all these joggers coming down wellinton like it's a marathon or something.. and I'm like maybe I should cam it, just in case its something important. Just as I am about to turn on the cam.. these girls hit me up from and ask me to photograph them. So I'm totally stunned and I ask them ..."like do you guys have a camera?" And the first girl goes to me.. "No we want you to take our pictures with your camera!!" Of course she was being sarcastic and she pulled out her camera from her purse. and then she goes to me: "Make sure you get my friends hooker booties in the shot!!".....I was like...damn, if these girls didn't have a camera I could have taken their pictures with my camera, and I would have at the least gotten their email address... oooh shooot!! (would have been a double score in hindsight and in more ways than one)

.. i so wanted to ask these girls.. to let me put them on my cam.. they were so righteously hot!!

oh well.. hard ball in the big leauges..

Saw the new glass cladding in person the other night. Looks better than in photos. No criticism of the talented photographers here. Just difficult to capture with the glare.

Well caltrane is using a video camera for taking pictures as far as I know, which is definitely not the best for taking good photos.

As for the glare, it's because they're taking the photos with the light source(the sun) in front of them, instead of behind. Best time to take photos of this building from King St., would be in the morning while the sun is to the east.

Yes condovo, I'm using a video camera to take pictures..not a real camera. The guy that sold it to me told me it's probably better for making porn, than doing urban landscape photos.....

a lil' streetwall action.... to getya' wet!!

Oh, so you are using it to make porn.

come on Cal, I thought you were a pro with the women! well atleast you had some fun yourself even if you didnt have any video evidence to share with us!

but seriously, hope that once all this construction is done that there is some life on the sidewalks of this portion of Wellington.

ha! so funny.. yes, for me skyscrapers are porn!!

RR - I would have asked them to take their pictures.. but in the back of my mind, I'm thinking when I can't even deal with the ones I've already got ..do I want the hassle....

Here is a close up..

still an ugly building so far. when the lights come on, maaaybe it'll look nice.

BUt after seeing all those pretty buildings around the world, why can't we make something as nice as the australians, brits, chinese, arabs, americans, etc etc.

It's all a matter of taste, but that one you just showed is hideous. Ritz is going to be amazing when it's complete.
