Toronto Residences at The Ritz-Carlton, Toronto | 207.86m | 53s | Graywood | Kohn Pedersen Fox

I think that's perspective in the last photo that makes it look that way. Ritz should now be about the height of RBC Dexia.
What astounds me in that last photo is how even from that distance, one can see right through RBC Dexia. I love that.

An interesting double reflection of the CN Tower, caused by the lower windows being flat and the upper windows being tilted:

Pearl Street has an excellent view of the Ritz through this parking lot which will eventually house the 224 King St W tower and block it:

I guess "fins" are the in thing to do? Everyone seems to be doing fins. York 3 buildings, Ritz, Shangri-la.

Great shots of the Ritz!

7 Floors to go from my count!

Here's some rough sketches I did of the Ritz... (They are current (TODAY)... 7 Floors (EXCLUDING the slant) to go from my count....

Assuming you're referring to the rendering, is it really a fin? I thought it was more of a lantern, similar to RBC Centre.

Thanks steveve! According to the construction elevator numbering on the west side, they are currently on floor 45. PS you're pictures are not coming through, just red X's.

OOPS!... I reposted it on my message above ^^^

I am new to Kodak so yeah....

Oh... So 8 floors to go... not 7... right!... But they are just wrapping up 1 floor right now... So tomorrow or the day after I THINK they have 7 to go...

If you look closely at the RBC centre on the presentation center the gap on the lantern is still there. lol

Yeah... I noticed that!... The photo was taken during RBC's construction and then they just photoshopped the Ritz...

And in that render... WHY IS THE RITZ SO WHITE!

I THINK they are wrapping up the 45th floor as of TODAY and they should be starting the 46th tomorrow or the day after... But i'm pretty close ;)

I wouldn't exactly call it a "fin"... there's just a gap in between the glass running down the entire side of the building so it looks like a fin...

I guess you could call it that :)

Though I'm not personally afraid of heights, I've just realized how terrifying rooms with the slanted curtain wall will be. Not only is there floor to ceiling glass, but its outward slant will allow people to lean over the edge of their floor to some degree. Let's hope it's secured well for those who'll inevitably press themselves against it.

The slant is very minor for each individual floor. It's the incremental accumulation of slants that give it the impression of a higher degree. I don't think one will notice much of a slant on any particular window.
