The 90% Detailed Designs were presented to the Design Review Panel on June 8, 2011 and the project received unanimous approval. The design team is planning to finalize the Detailed Design package and submit it to the City in July. That would be great.

The CEO report talks about signing a contribution agreement. Does that suggest that they are going to the Feds to get the money for this? That's the term they use in Ottawa for this kind of funding.

Waterfront Toronto is partially funded by the feds ... so presumably they need fed approval to reallocate money from pot F to pot H.

Yes, they have the $$$ but it has already been allocated to other projects that are not yet underway so they want to reallocate existing money and need the OK of their three funders. No doubt they would like (and deserve) more money but it is a reallocation and I understand the hold-ups are the City rather than the Feds or the Province.

Just guessing but they probably don't need all 3 to agree to temporary funding, any 1 would do. And it seems a good guess it's not going to be the City, like you said.

This section falls under the City funding most of it and that's the problem. TTC funding has always been there, but the city share was only partly there when most was to be there in the first place.
