Toronto Platform Condos | 31.09m | 9s | Sierra | Kirkor Architects

Does anyone have any information on the outcome of the community meeting last night? Not the most impressive looking building but more people/foot traffic would be good for the area.

Updated rendering on the Sierra site.

Does anyone have any updates on this building?
Haven't seen anything new since April on the City's development site. Was in touch with the City Planner looking after this one about a year ago, and he said he'd add me to his email list for any new info. Haven't received any emails. The developer's sites are still static. I'd love to see this get going. Though gotta admit, I'll miss having a Beer Store so close by (I'm a few streets away from this site).

The last activity was the community meeting in March: https://twitter.com/PaulaFletcher30/status/705413500588335104 and according to the developer's site as of July 2016 it looks like everything is on track for approval:
The developer remains on track to finalize the zoning approvals, and has submitted the site plan applications to the city as there is now confidence in achieving this built form. The sales and marketing campaign will launch in 2016. Register your interest at sierra.ca.

There is a chance that the beer store stays, according to this article:
“We’ve actually invited the Beer Store to come back into the building after the building is built, so most of the residents can have their cake and eat it to,” said Morris Kansun, head of the Sierra Building Group.

I'm also not familiar with the process or how long these things typically take. Maybe someone that is more familiar with these situations will chime in?

Looks like there might be some movement. There was an update for last month (October) on the builder site:

The planning approval process is nearing completion as the developer works through the final site plan issues with City staff. The sales program and marketing for the project are currently being arranged.

Looks like the revised application was submitted to the city on Nov 1st:

Revised Application Submitted November 1, 2016: The Applicant, 1177 Danforth Avenue Ltd., has submitted rezoning and site plan applications that propose to develop the site, municipally known as 1177 Danforth Avenue

The dataBase file has now been published (and linked at the top of the page), the thread title automatically updated, and a dot added to the map.

Another update on the developer's site:

A final Site Plan submission was made to the City of Toronto in October 2016. A follow-up meeting was held with planning staff in December 2016. A few minor revisions are required, which will result in an anticipated positive staff report being made to Council in March of 2017. Preliminary plans for a sales office are underway with an expected sales office building permit application in early 2017.

Hmmmmmm. Wonder if it's too early to go stock up on beer, before the beer store closes?? Frankly, it couldn't close soon enough. While it's my local store, it remains one of the dingiest beer stores I've visited. And the "sprucing" it underwent about a year or so ago only made it more so in my opinion. Then again, hope it does get replaced.

This is my old stopin ground. Would so be in for a south west facing unit. Hoping it goes ahead.
