So, thank you all for putting that together. I was looking for a liquor license for a patio, and not specifically a patio license, and without the liquor part, maybe they do not post them online. In any case, yes, looks like it's a learning opportunity for the City.

Cressy suggesting there never was one is either being dishonset or willfully ignorant. He only said something when the mainstream media grabbed it. We told him about it months back. How can the city approve a permit for something that they know is public space? Blame the private business if you want, but they seem to have done all the paperwork. Not their fault the city doesn't talk to each other.

Condos frequently replace surface parking lots with underground parking in the core. There are usually still the same amount of public spaces underground as were replaced. Honestly, I don't care since I'm all for anything that disincentives private car use.
 
Although this outdoor space is not efficiently laid out with good places to sit, it looks like they throttled down the fountain to make less of a splash. The white light saber poles and digital light board add to the crammed feel, and the space really doesn't work as a coherent design. Couldn't they have kept it simple here?

The outdoor restaurants in this area were making a killing tonight, especially the one on the corner. Lots of people out.

The current state (28th Aug 2022) of the outdoor space - a far cry from the 2018 pictures above ^ . Yet again, Toronto can't have nice things like fountains. Is there a way to get the water feature reinstated as I think the space is a POP. Is it the responsibility of the Condo Board?

Calling @interchange42 as I think you had an interest in the space in the past...?

I believe that it's written into the Zoning By-law Amendment for the site that the condo corporation is required by the City to maintain the POPS in good working order, and therefore reporting it to By-law Enforcement would be the way to go.
