From where? Sugar Wharf Phase 2 was supposed to be the closest the PATH got to Quayside/Bayside and that’s a block away and no plans for shovels in the ground. I’ll be happy if it gets to One Yonge anytime soon.
Yeah, sigh. I know. A boy can dream. Dodging the February lake gusts and walking indoors to the south core was my tiny shattered dream

Taken 11/1/25: curtain wall work beginning on south side

Curtain wall? Looks like a spandrel and mullion fest.
Yeah that's 100% window wall.

IIRC the PATH was supposed to extend all the way out to Sugar Wharf Phase 1 with the LCBO HQ being the final terminus. So not Quayside/Bayfront but 1 block closer I suppose (although West of Jarvis to Parliament is still a huge gap). I can't remember if they planned for any extensions into the current Loblaw's block if it was redeveloped, maybe you could get to that via Phase 1 depending on its second floor layout. But yeah obviously any of this happening totally depends on filling in the massive gap around Yonge St, which is all dependent on if One Yonge either connects West to CIBC Square and/or North to Backstage on the Esplanade.

...well, this quickly became a lost cause. /sigh

Nah...more Pinnacle should know better.
I don't think they changed much beyond adding floors (which interestingly they claim aren't for sale?)

I haven't heard otherwise from it coming to 1 Yonge - I imagine that was part "amenities" for the hotel. The question is how quickly does Sugar Wharf Phase 2 get shovels into the ground to bring it closer to Jarvis?

I don't think anything beyond Sugar Wharf Phase 2 has any plans to keep the PATH moving east though....so we all wait for the Waterfront East LRT to show up....

They still could of changed/upgraded the quality of the cladding....which would of not require much redesign of the whole thing.

...Pinnacle One has demonstrated they can put out when they want to. These towers are also prime waterfront locations..so they need to shine here too. And not be just an afterthought, IMO.

We’ve had a lot of wins recently in the city. Grade A projects like The One, King Toronto, Forma, One Delisle, Aqualuna, 50 Scollard, Toronto house, Park Road, The Well etc. Even Concord surprised us so far with the materials on Concord Sky. So I definitely understand the disappointment with the cladding here. It’s ok for a background building but not for something so prominent in the skyline

It looks like the towers will have wraparound balconies - so that means the towers will have window wall
(which will sit on the slab set back from the slab edge).
The midrise isn't the star of the show, so there's no reason they would go with more expensive curtain wall on the midrise.

I hear you - but very different projects. One is a legacy project while the other was picked up in a bankruptcy fire sale. One is on the most famous street in the country, the other backs the Gardiner on one side and fronts a yet to be built or even named street. No builder will ever treat every project the same - even Tridel has high end (Aqualina, Well Signature) and low end (Evermore). Don’t forget the tower they are currently cladding is all affordable rental.

I think they were focused on getting shovels in the ground as quickly as possible as Greenland had essentially sold most of the units already and changing anything beyond height likely would have kicked off re-reviews with WT and the city.
