Wonder when the black will start showing up. Anybody know the material they will be using? I was hoping for brick but the renderings suggest something smooth like aluminum.
 
One thing I really appreciate about this building is that they got the base height and design to perfectly tie in with the surrounding buildings. It feels like two seperate buildings on top of each other along Adelaide. The base being busier and matching the height of the nearby buildings, followed by the tower itself, sprouting from the top, and being less busy, and therefore less noticeable from the street. I think it works quite well, and better than it would have if it had been one singular massed point tower.

Not the biggest fan of aA, personally i find a lot of their work to be forgettable, but I really like what they did with this ones form.
 
I enjoy your evaluation and agree with it.

It's a subtle but clever and rational response to the site.
 
Looks great! Thanks for the update. My only complaint is that they're not painting the undersides of the balconies.
