Is that some kind of tile? If so, is it normal for such a thing to be installed at this stage of construction?

It looked more like some sort of tarp or fabric type material rather than tiles but have no idea what it is for!

I'm guessing you are looking at the patchwork of decking used to support rebar/concrete for each floor?

The individual pieces just seemed uniform in size so I guess that's why my mind jumped to tile. Thanks for clearing that up!
