An “open house” is a type of public consultation where there is no formal presentation or question and answer period. Presentation boards are used instead of a slide show, and there are opportunities for written comments. Metrolinx likes this format because it allows for one-on-one Q&As which are easier to manage.

Has the city contemplated moving /extending the Dufferin Loop so that the Dufferin car ends at the new Exhibition Station (albeit on the north side of the station)? It seems... obvious to me but then again - this is Toronto.

So....having just popped into this thread.....I see you having given the masses their workout..........

This is Toronto. So yes, they've been contemplating it for a couple of decades or so. Plans drawn. New plans drawn. Everything all messed up, so big reset. And then work suspended because someone is building a GO station in the way ...

There's a somewhat dated piece on the Exhibition Loop to Dufferin Loop connection at https://www.toronto.ca/services-pay...on/other-waterfront-transit-network-projects/ under "Exhibition Loop to Dufferin Gate Loop".

With the Dufferin bridges over the tracks and Gardiner coming up for replacement (or past replacement, as in typical Toronto fashion, one of them had to be removed because of impending failure, and there's been a temporary bailey bridge there since last decade), the intent is, at the very minimum, is that the new bridges will include space for the tracks.

If you look closely at many of the future transit maps the TTC stuffs into various reports, that the expanded streetcar network in included, with the Dufferin/Exhibition connection, and the Waterfront East streetcar network, that includes tracks on Queens Quay East, connecting to Cherry Loop, Commissioner Street, and Broadview. In addition to the connection to the Ontario Line (Line 3) at Exhibition GO, there's also at connection to the Ontario line at the new East Harbour GO station, on Broadview Avenue.

The OL-Exhibition Station plans included the LRT extension - not holistically, but it is there (I think I posted the plan somewhere).

Though there’s no potential to connect tracks here with the tracks on the south side of exhibition. Through service is desirable.

the last time the "waterfront west lrt was looked at was before the ontario line even started design.

Even if it was, as long as east liberty has the potential to have the streetcars go down it, a connection through the station is better honestly
Took a quick peek at renderings, they have busses riding down them to stop right in front of the station

There's zero plans to put streetcars on East Liberty. And it's not that close to the station. The New Street would make more sense - but it's not wide enough.

The plan has always been to have the bridge, and then the east-west track on the south side of the Gardiner.

I haven't seen any renderings of East Liberty Street - perhaps you are thinking of Atlantic Avenue? I'd assume that the Ossington bus would end up on the New Street - and perhaps Atlantic.
