The anti-transit, anti-pedestrian, anti-cyclist lobbyists use the EA (Environmental Assessment) to place roadblocks on projects that may hinder the almighty automobile. Wonder if any of the NIMBYs fighting Ontario Line's routeings, stations, storage facilities, etc. are really anti-transit lobbyists?

This seems probable - I found this group after noticing the signage looks a little too polished, recent angry posts about DEAD trees and branches being removed "for the Ontario line". Is this just the NIMBYs at work?

On first glance seems like the project has been delayed. Kind of disappointed the RFQ for the northern civil, stations and tunnel won't come out until July to September 2022. Would have been great to see it before the June elections.

We dont know if theyre doing a custom unit or one "off the shelf"

Slightly more detail here in today's Infrastructure Ontario quarterly report. Contract execution for rolling stock (bottom of pg. 3) will be sometime between Oct-Dec.2022:Still don't know what the rolling stock will look like. Thought they would have had a winning bid by now.Will a mock-up appear on the grounds of the 2022 Canadian National Exhibition?
