I assume the spire hasn’t been scrapped? If this was a run-of-the-mill Toronto condo, I’d assume they’ll leave that external elevator shaft in place and call it the spire.

This building looks so much like modern, understated, high quality, bulky Japanese office architecture, and I love it!

I really like it too. Not at all flashy, but very crisp and understated, nice materials, great detailing.

That said, like most things it's best in moderation. I wouldn't want a sea of it but a few scattered about the city here and there would do wonders.
