I don't actually think that mizrahi was a scammer I just think that he got two ambitious too quick and it resulted in him stretching himself thin no matter what if it weren't for them this project wouldn't have been started and it is turned into one of the nicest buildings in the city so let's at least let the man's career rest in peace he destroyed it so that he could give us what is a very nice looking building

No, he was a grifter...tell enough fibs, half truths and exaggerations while crossing the right peep's palms with promises and IOU's, one can build a fleeting fortune and a champagne tower. To which the latter was claimed by his creditors when everything started to fall through. And rest being history is why we see Tridel's name on this tower and not Mizrahi's. There is (and should be) consequences for the dubious choices we make... /sigh

Here are some photos I took of One Bloor West yesterday morning from various angles, starting from Avenue Road:

I have not yet posted photos from directly across Bloor Street from the tower:

I had been wondering why the scaffolding around 60 Bloor Street West had been around for the past few months, especially since it only covered the first floor. Now that they have disassembled the scaffolding, here is my first photo from the corner of Bay and Bloor since March:

I was thinking the same thing. Unfortunately, they'll be able to fool most people .
They were clear at the beginning of the party that they've only been on it since May 1...

...but yup, they need their loyal customers and all those who harbour goodwill toward them to know that they're now responsible for delivering something worth the price here!

Shots from the top of One Bloor West (sorry it's taken me so long to post these — more coming in a bit):

Heading up...(you don't see a lot from the hoist!)

The hoist currently goes to 79. Above that, you're hiking...

Within the elevator core, several flights above still!

Seriously...

That's some heavy rebar...

Photo time!

More views to come in the sequel (assuming this franchise-opener sells enough tickets).

^Does Mr. 42's legs get all wibbly-wobbly when he's up there shmoozing with the exposed elements? I know mines would! >.<
There were a few people who exhibited that they were out of their comfort zone while we were riding the hoist up, (I somehow managed to stop myself from being a jackass by jumping up and down in there), but nobody seemed scared to be up there once we were on the 85th, it felt totally solid, even without a tuned mass damper in place! (Well, there was no wind to speak of!) The only time I've not felt good somewhere high up were the initial minutes on the Edgewalk around the CN Tower when they had us lean over the side. After that it was like, what, we have go back in 15 or 20 minutes later?!

So, who is going to claim the 20,000th post in this thread?!

I wonder how many stories has been built already for One Bloor West? I know the building has been taken over by Tridel and continued construction but I apologies if this question seems stupid but I'm looking foward to when the building finishes construction
