I agree, You can't change the super columns from rebar to I-Beams as the loads to carry the floor loads are different than open space.

Photos taken today, Friday (May 16). The blue forms at top have moved up a level, as has the central core... almost at 300 m presumably... Floor 85+? The corner blue forms have moved up as well, to level 75 or so, it seems. The black Rail Climbing Systems are at level 59, save for the east one, at level 60, and we see some of the 60th floor windows installed on the south face.
A pile of shots, including another one of that King Edward equestrian statue at Queen's Park - this time, the king seems to be glancing in the direction of the tower (the focus on the other photos posted by another member last week was slightly different...)
And a few shots showing the new Tridel signs installed this past week.

This makes no sense, as the height increase was already approved by council and doesn’t need approval again.
96 will never happen as planning wasn’t supportive of their original ask for 94, which is how the 91 came about.

Also what I don't understand is, he saying the reason the mechanical floors are so close is so Tridel can try and get the building taller. They are simply building on the the original blue prints that had the mechanical like that before the height approval. It's not like Tridel said "let's build these mechanical floors close on the chance we make the building taller".
